THE THREE GRACES by Michele Wolfe, which is only sale for $0.99 for THREE DAYS ONLY!
College juniors Jessie, Isabel and Sara are linked in an unlikely friendship by visits to hidden places only they can see.
Together on a trip to Hearst Castle in California an earth-shaking encounter with a stunning statue in the gardens binds them to the spirits of the Three Graces; Brilliance, Joy and Bloom.
Under the weight of school and family problems, Sara Jessie and Isabel grow to be fast friends as they struggle with who they are and what will become of them. Until the fateful trip where they are gifted three magical pendants. Through these gifts the girls must find a way to unlock a centuries old curse and free the graces from their stone grave.
Will Brilliance, Joy and Bloom find freedom through the girls or will they forever be entombed in the statue of The Three Graces?
The Three Graces is a deep and beautiful story of discovery, of admitting to truths that have been buried, and of letting go of a past that hinders the present.
Back at home, as mysterious incidents escalate, Jessie, Isabel and Sara battle their personal crises. Jessie can’t get over the death of her musician boyfriend and the issues it raises over college life versus a musician’s life. Isabel wants to date the ex-priest who comes back into her life but is afraid of the repercussions on her artistic career. Sara’s confused feelings toward other women are surfacing with a vengeance after years of being pushed down. Each of them also experiences escalating conflict with their mothers.
When the Graces give each young woman a beautiful pendant to guide and protect her, the young women hesitantly begin to heed the Graces’ advice and enter into the ethereal world of the ancient goddesses. When the girls face their greatest fears and doubts, enigmatic messages from the Graces lead to answers as they work together in both worlds to choose the right roads to follow. The novel culminates as Jessie’s maze, Isabel’s cave, and Sara’s chains merge with the Graces’ world so that the choice each of them makes toward freedom from the past and into a future of their own making, ultimately becomes the Graces’ way home.

Excerpt #1 from Prologue THE THREE GRACES
Italy 1814
The men gazed in appreciation at the only other object of interest. A lifelike creation in marble of three women adorned the center of the room. They exhibited such a likeness to the goddesses themselves, The Graces were momentarily paralyzed at the sight.
Shapely arms, hips and thighs crafted to perfection. Intensely beautiful, the intimate nature of their relationship evident in every feature.
“When is the duke taking it?” Falier asked.
“Tonight, immediately following the ceremony,” Canova replied.
“He’s anxious to begin,” added Sartori. “That’s why he sent me to find you.”
“I hope you charged the old man enough,” Falier said, still mesmerized by the statue.
“They’re exquisite.”
“High praise, indeed, coming from you,” Canova said, with a laugh. “Yes, he paid handsomely.” He lifted his glass. “Let us have a toast.”
Falier took the cue and reached for the remaining glasses on a nearby table. The three moved in close, the sisters following, still touching each one, happy with the obvious camaraderie between the men.
As one, flutes of champagne were raised in tribute.
“A La Trez Grazie!” The men exclaimed in unison.
A gust of wind through the open patio doors caused the candlelight to flicker madly and their shadows to dance.
Canova continued, “May all who look upon them know… ‘their alluring eyes glance from under their brows, and from their eyelids drips desire that unstrings the limbs.’”
Exhilarated beyond measure, the sisters recognized the ancient song commemorating their beauty. So involved in their own spiraling emotions and those of the three gentlemen, they were caught unaware when a trembling force shook the room. Within moments, they were coiled and ensnared completely within the marble likeness.
