Angela from “The Inspiration Edit” has graciously shared her Oreo Bunny Butts Recipe. Angela calls the UK home, so some of her ingredients I am going to change out with something else. I added my substitution ideas to the ingredient list. I am sure you can find all the listed ingredients online, but I figure I am going grocery shopping anyway.
These Oreo Bunny Butts are going to be a hit with the kids, it has all things that my kids love to eat. I love all the in-process photos included. It makes the whole thing look so much easier to make.
Ingredients {Yields: 1 dozen}
12 Oreo cookies
1 block of white chocolate
1 tube of white icing or tube of white chocolate
1 packet of pink bonbons or candy pearls
1 packet of mini mart mushrooms or substitute pink mini marshmallows
Directions
1. Break up the white chocolate into a microwave proof bowl. Melt for 1 minute, stir and then melt for 1 more minute.
2. Open up the oreo’s, add a cake pop stick, add chocolate and glue the oreo back together using the white chocolate. Repeat with each cookie and then place in the fridge to set.
3. Once the Oreo is set, dip and cover in the melted white chocolate.
4. Place the white chocolate covered cookies on parchment paper and place in the fridge once more to set.
5. Chill for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
6. Now the cookies are hard, you can begin to make the bunny feet. Chop the bottoms off of the mini mart mushrooms or mini-marshmallows, add melted chocolate and glue into position
7. Repeat this process with the bonbon using this as the bunny rabbits tail.
8. Finally, use either a small tube of icing or a tube of white chocolate to draw tiny paw prints onto the bunny feet.
9. Place the finished bunny butts into the fridge once more allowing the feet and tail to set.
10. The bunny butt treats should be set within 30 minutes.
11. ENJOY!!
