My granddaughter, Kaydian, took to this book immediately upon removal from its packaging. I know that it has do with the very bright cover and photos from illustrator Kelly Pulley.
The Beginner’s Bible is perfect for little hands. The book has sturdy pages for even the roughest of page turners. She really enjoyed all the pictures, and pointed out all of her favorite scenes. She has been read this book every night, which is nice since we recently began taking her to church.
My six-year old, Michael, also enjoys reading this book. He is just starting to read on his own. The book is full of easy to read passages full of sight words he can sound out. This gives him a wonderful sense of accomplishment and I feel good that his learning about the bible at a level he can understand.
The Beginner’s Bible will be used in our home for a long time to come. Both children have heard over 90 stories adapted from the Bible. I believe that Noah’s Ark is thier favorite, as it was with me when I was young. Being able to introduce Bible teachings to the kids in this manner has been a blessing.
Last but not least- Kaydian always has to give books {and toys} a final taste test. The Beginner’s Bible passed the test.
