Our-Wolves-Den doesn’t recommend products that we don’t fully believe would be beneficial to our readers, the opinions are unbiased and 100% our own. “Now I lay me down to sleep with the help from Claessen’s Kid’Sleep Nightlight & Training Clock.” This is the new saying in our home after receiving this product for review. Our home has suffered many, many nights competing in the “Bedtime Battle Games”, usually with the younger generation winning. The first thing that I admired about the Kid’Sleep Clock is that is can be used from birth on up. This clock can start out as a soft nightlight for little ones, and then graduate into a useful tool in helping “train” your little ones to sleep at the appropriate times. There are also four lullaby’s to choose from to lull your sweetie to dreamland.
What are all the features of this unique clock? I am glad you asked because this really is much more than an average alarm clock. It has/is:
Sleep Trainer
4 Choices of Lullabies { 2 Musical, Fountain, and Heartbeat}
4 Choices of alarms to wake +Silent Mode
4 levels of brightness
Full face traditional nightlight
Smart Sunset “go to sleep” function
Smart moonset “wake up process”
3 settings which include nighttime, nap and for the weekend
Animated LCD screen
Easy setting menu
My 3 year old, Michael, was easily able to learn that when the bunny was lit up tucked in bed and the moon was glowing that it was time to still be asleep. Then he learned just as quickly that when the bunny was lit up in the top picture and the sun glowing on the side, he could wake without being told to “go back to bed”. The melodies that I chose for Michael to wake to were very soft and pleasant to wake too, no jarring rings or music that startles one to open their eyes.
As a mother I love the idea of being able to use this as another tool in our bedtime/waking routine. The Kid’Sleep clock is not meant to be a set and forget kids item. It is to be utilized and introduced to help in your routines. We use it to signal naptimes by setting the alarm and at bedtime Michael can look at it to see that it is time to start our bedtime routine. We have taken extra steps in leaving some books near his bed in case he does wake early. When this occurs he quietly reads until the alarm sounds, instead of jumping out of bed and waking everyone in the house. A win-win in everyone’s eyes.
If you are a person that is “technically challenged” like me, have no fear. The directions to set the clock and for use of the clock are written simply. I had no issues figuring out all the features of the clock. Although, I will admit I somehow did have the time backwards for the first night- the bunny & sun glowing when it was supposed to be bedtime. You can see all the controls below, so it was only a small detail that I messed up in setting the options up.
If you or someone you know is looking for a tool to help with bedtime routines, then this is a product I highly recommend. Remember I fully believe that this is to be used as an extra tool to your bedtime routine, to help enhance your routine. Since the Claessens’ Kid’Sleep Clock can be used beginning at birth, it would be a very nice gift for the new-mom. Michael has adapted easily to this addition to his bedtime/naptime routine, and in return we have calmer mornings that the whole family can enjoy.
