So your child’s birthday is coming up. Are you thinking of throwing them an amazing party? If not, you should be! It’ll be a fun way to celebrate their big day.
There will certainly be a lot to plan for their special day. While you will probably have all of the main things under control, have you also thought about the little details? It is these small things that can take a party from great to absolutely awesome! After all, everyone does say that the devil is in the details! So you can see that it will really pay to consider these small details. Here are some that you may not have even considered.
Activities
Most parties have activities that the kids can take part in. More often than not, these fun activities are just party games. Things like pass the parcel and musical statues. These games are totally fine, but you may want to add some extra excitement to your child’s party. So why not hire some special equipment? You could get an inflatable castle for out in your garden. You could even consider table football or table tennis hire if your child is particularly sporty.
Party Food
If you think carefully about the party food, you will also be able to add some extra fun and excitement. The easiest food to serve is finger food. Making a buffet shouldn’t take you too long, and you can keep it fairly cheap. But they just make sandwiches and have some bowls of chips when you can get creative? One cool idea is to cut your sandwiches into rounds and arrange them like a snake. Add a decorated cucumber at one end of the sandwich line to create a head. Making food into different animals will be a great way to make all the kids giggle!
Party Bags
Handing out party bags to all the guests as they are leaving is a super cute touch. They won’t feel like the party has suddenly ended once they get home! Make sure you add a small slice of birthday cake to each bag. You can also add balloons and some small sweets and candies. For some extra fun, you could add stickers and temporary tattoos.
Fancy Dress
What about hosting a fancy dress party? Kids will love thinking about their costume and creating it. If you want to make it easier for the other parents, you should give your party a theme. Such as Disney characters. That way, parents don’t have to agonize for days about what their child can go as! It would also be a nice touch to theme the decor and food around the fancy dress theme. You may also like to do a few party games that can easily incorporate the theme as well. For instance, if you were doing a Little Mermaid party, you could decorate your home or venue in a lot of blue. You could also serve tuna sandwiches and salads on the buffet.
Hopefully, you’ll now have a lot of super ideas to organize a fab party!
