Falling For Bentley By: Shawnte Borris
Just when Bentley Knight thought life was only about football and women, a Hail Mary pass comes at him, changing everything.
When mistakes of his past threaten to derail his future, will Bentley be man enough to win the heart of the girl he once ridiculed in high school, who just happens to be the woman of his dreams?
My Review/Thoughts:
I found myself drawn into the plot of this short book rather quickly. Probably because it reminds me of a couple back in high school, the characters are both sweet and innocent in nature, battling their own personal struggles in life. Bentley being the typical male that picks relentlessly on what turns out to be his one true love, possibly ruining any future he might have with her once grown up.
Shantee was able to keep you guessing as to outcomes of the book, and carefully designed it for the reader to want to continue with the series. Yes, I am very much looking to the next book.
What I found interesting is that the plot of this book is almost commonplace in this day and age. She was able to capture an accurate view of situations that plague even our youth and younger generation today. Being torn between family, duty, and true love is an awful place to be-you will always wonder if you did the right thing. But on the bright-side you can never go wrong with true love!
