Easter has always been a fun time of year in our home. Who doesn’t love seeing the signs of warmer weather, green grass, and fresh buds emerging? In our home, it is also a time for letting the kids have fun in the kitchen. A simple Peep’s Cheesecake recipe will brighten any day. This sweet treat not only captures the bright colors of Easter, it can be easily customized for any occasion.
Graham Cracker Crust Recipe
Crust Ingredients:
1 C graham cracker crumbs
1 TBSP sugar
3 TBSP salted butter, melted
2 Dessert dishes
Crust Directions:
- Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined.
- Scoop a 1/4 C of the crust and put it on the bottom of the dessert dish
Cheesecake Recipe
Cheesecake Ingredients:
1 Tub of Already made cheesecake filling
Food coloring in pink and Yellow
2 disposable pastry bags
Cheesecake Directions:
- Split the cheesecake filling into 2 bowls
- Add the pink to one bowl and the yellow to the other
- Scoop each of the cheesecake filling into a disposable pastry bag one color in each bag.
- Cut the pastry bag tip
- Twist the top of the bag so you can easily pipe the cheesecake into the dish
- Begin to add the cheesecake one color at a time
Whipped Cream
1 C cold heavy whipping cream
1/2 C powder sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Using a star tip, pipe on whipped cream on top of the cheesecake dishes {As much as you want}
Place a peep on the side of the whipped cream sprinkle some easter sprinkles
Sprinkle with some Easter themed or pastel colored jimmies. The skies the limit with decorating.
