As a mom of eight, I feel like I know a little bit about the best ways to make sure that you don’t end up stuck in the house when the little ones are small. I know it can seem like a military operation to get them all ready to get out the house at the same time. But there are definitely some tricks to make getting ready and the trip itself so much easier.
Hall Pegs
By making the preparations for your trip smooth, you set the tone for a calm and enjoyable outing. The way to do this it to set up a peg system in your hall. Each child has a peg with their name above it. Then the also have a box or shelf below it, to put their shoes.
The idea is that as soon as they are old enough to understand, you get them to return their coat, shoes, and bag to their specific part of the peg area. Then you will always know here the things are when you are all getting reading in the morning. This makes it much easier to get out the house with a minimum level of stress
Prepacked bag
Remember before the little one was born, and you had that prepacked bag, just waiting for the day that you needed to go into hospital? Then let’s apply that to now, shall we? Having a bag packed with items like nappies, baby wipes, food jars that don’t need to be refrigerated can really make getting ready to go out a lot easier. How about getting a bag organizer or two like this? Then fill it with the basics so you can just pop it into your baby bag and go?
Good Travel System
Another vital element of having a good trip experience when you have little ones are to make sure you have the best travel system that you can afford. Strollers with wonky wheels or that are hard to control are just going to make getting out and about even harder. Check out the latest 2016 Britax B-Agile and B-Safe travel system. It combines a stroller and a car seat that grows with your baby.

Prepackaged foods and milk
Pre-Packaged baby food and milk carton are absolute lifesavers for making trips out a lot more simple. Remember that food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated is best. Of course, you don’t have to feed Baby that all the time. But for the odd trip out to make sure they don’t get hungry and cranky and to make your own prep time a lot quicker, they are perfect.
Baby Harness
If you have toddlers as well as a young baby, it can be super difficult to wrangle them all when you get outside the house. As much as you ask them to hold on to the stroller, they are bound to run off sometimes. If you are concerned about the safety element of this why not try a baby harness to help you know that they are safe at all times.
