There are still a couple of weeks left of the school summer holidays. If you act fast, you might be able to find a great last-minute deal to take your family away on a vacation. Not sure where to go? Here are some of my favorite destinations suitable for the whole family.
Road Trips
Why just head to one location when you could travel around the country visiting various attractions? When you take your family on a road trip, you can forget about scheduling too much and just see where the open road takes you. This is made even easier if you have your very own RV or trailer. Then you don’t even need to worry about booking separate accommodation! This is a great vacation if you and your family love getting out and about in nature. Stop off in a national park for lots of hikes and fishing!
Cowboy Ranches
If your kids are obsessed with cowboys at the minute, they will certainly love staying on a working cowboy ranch! There are loads of ranches in Texas, Wyoming, and Colorado. Most of which rent out their rooms to tourists. While you’re staying at the ranch, there will be plenty of opportunities to go hiking or horse riding through the desert. Some spots will also expect you to get hands-on and help with cleaning out the horses!
Tropical Getaways
If you have had a busy summer at work, you will really enjoy kicking back in a tropical location, such as Hawaii or the Caribbean. There are plenty of ways to unwind on these picturesque islands. You can relax on the beach while the kids build sandcastles or paddle in the ocean. And many of the resorts are all-inclusive. So you won’t have to worry about cooking or buying meals at all during your time away!
City Break
If you love your city breaks, there are many to choose from in the United States! Head to New York City for fabulous shopping and Broadway shows. Go to Los Angeles if you want to try and spot your favorite movie star. Or why not book a stay in Washington DC to take your kids to some of the country’s most important museums? And if you ever get bored of the city’s hustle and bustle, you’re never more than a short drive from beautiful countryside. No matter where in the United States you may be!
Bible Camp
If you want to help your kids strengthen their connection to God, you could spend a week or weekend at your nearest Bible camp. As well as chance to learn the scriptures and important Biblical teachings, your kids will also be able to make lots of new friends. There will also be plenty of opportunities to go off hiking, bicycling, and playing sports together as a family! Most Bible camps include all your meals in their price.
So next time you feel it’s time to recharge your batteries, why not think about one of these vacation ideas?!
